Music

Music is always fun to include in projects such as imovies and powerpoints. You should always use caution when you or your student go about putting popular music into a project. One rule is to use less than 30 seconds of a popular song. Some alternatives are to use jingles in GARAGEBAND. These are short songs already made for users to include in projects such as imovie or podcasts. But you can use these songs for just about anything because they are free and without restrictions.

Another alternative is the public domain called http://www.freeplaymusic.com. This site provides music free of charge to the public. They can be easily downloaded right to your machine within seconds. The only caution with freeplay music is that the disclaimer says you cannot use the music if you were going to broadcast. Some examples of this may include podcasting, hosting on a cable channel, or hosting projects on an Internet site.
